Well I finally picked up a wakeboard boat and it is a 2001 20i. I know it is not the best wakeboard boat out there but its well within my budget, has a nice tower, the interior is great in it, and it has only 143 hours. So I was hoping some of you coudl give me some pointers on how to make the wake a little better.

You should be able to produce a decent wake with it.Cursed by a fortune cookie: "Your principles mean more to you than any money or success."

Add ballast
Welcome to the forum. You will find that there is a lot of people with knowledge of the Tige models and a lot more helpful information about the boats. If you are a DIY person, this forum is for you. If you are not a DIY person, this forum is still very helpful with ideas. Welcome

Here's a link to one I found on ebay:

another thing I am new to or a little worried about is the swaying back and forth of the wakeboard tower. The tower has two speakers on it and 4 racks and when in the water when it get to be somewhat bumpy the tower shakes about 6'' each way (right and left). Its the Samson extreme tower. Is it supposed to do this? I just want to make sure everything is ready to go for vacation next week.

If roll weight in the back locker make sure you have a passnger in the nose also to even out and sit the weight of passngers and cooler in the boat evenly also. Make sure when the rider falls and if you have people in the bow to ease off the throttle, if you yank out fast the nose will dip hard and you will get the person in the front wet.
the 20i is a solid boat and you will be surprised what you can do w/it.

You can also call Phat Buddie and see what the spec are with them. Or, were they one of the companies that the economy got the better of them? Sorry if the later is the case but again, you could torque the tower to Tige's specs. That should definitely help out.
With Tige's spec's, they are looking at the right tension in comparison to how much force the fiberglass and gelcoat can take. IMO, 22 probably would be okay for you also.
