Anyone ever removed the transom Radio remote on a 22i?

It's Done
OK, I got it done.
I didn't get any input so I am guessing that means no one has done this before. Anyway I wanted to post some pictures of the swap out for future reference.
Starting out - you can see the reason why I had to replace it. Got the new ones off EBay…

I had to gain access through the storage compartment. 2 screws and a bolt and the side panel came off.

Makes for some nasty access but at least I can see the backside of the controller.

2 Nuts and a couple of wires and its out the back side of the transom.

I will never wonder about the weight of my boat again, the transom must be 2 inches thick.

Put it all back together and everything works good as new.
Took about 2 hours and most of that was figuring out how to get to it. -

I did not damage anything, it was very easy once I figured out how it came apart. Hope yours went well.
