    blower vent?

I had some issues with my blower hose coming off the blower and after pulling the floor up behind the motor I noticed the hose only runs from the engine compartment, under the floor to the back of the boat and stops? There is no way for it to go up from there to the aft vents b/c the fuel tank is above that. Where is the blower suppose to vent out? Oh and this is on a 2000 21i.

    Thanks

Typically, a boat will have a vent or 2 that will force air into the bilge while under what. These hose most likely just dead end in the bilge. As the boat is under way, air pressure coming in pushes the air/fumes out the rear vent. the manual blower will have a hose on each end. One end will attach to the vent, the other will drop down to the bilge floor, as this is where the heavy fuel fumes collect. when the blower is switched on, the blower pulls the fumes up and out the rear vent.

Thanks for your help on the transmission adjustments also, I hope to try to get that fixed this weekend. With my blower I have the forward vents that get the fumes out while under way but the aft vents have no connection to the bilge compartment and no way to. The aft vents are above and just aft of the rear storage compartment(small sundeck) and under that is the fuel tank. There is no way the hose from the blower can come from the bilge compartment, under the floor that hose runs aft along the exhaust and prop shaft then when it gets to the aft bulkhead it can't go up to the vents b/c the fuel tank is there. I'm not sure what tige had in mind with this design b/c the aft vents actually have hose on them that just goes into the rear storage compartment and goes no where from there(b/c the fuel tank is below that.) I'm really confused on this. Thanks again for your feedback.

I don't know if it is similar to mine but the vent tube goes through this box.

Mine has the vent going down thru the box like in the picture but it doesn't come out of the box anywhere? I would expect it should come out below somewhere but mine doesn't?

Mine is identical to TA's. It should come through the box. The hose itself wont fit behind the gas tank unless you force it through there. It will go, you just need to flatten it out a bit.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.
