Thanks. The morning certainly had a lot smoother water. The reservoir runs just along the east side of the foothills so when the winds come down in the afternoon it causes havoc with the water. Has some good coves for throwing the anchor and tying up in the afternoon.
That choppy water is par for the course in Colorado. Only decent water I have found starts at about 8,500 feet of altitude. We just moved to CO from Louisiana and I miss the endless all day butter of the Red River. It's looking like longer trips to better water next summer.
