Has anyone ever painted the pvc portion of the guide on posts? I just think the pvc sticking up makes the trailer look cheesy. What kind of paint would stick to PVC?

Cut off the extra PVC so they are the same length as the guides! How tall are the metal support polls underneath? The PVC's are capped so the float, right?Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

I did this just the other day. I used double sided tape at the top and bottom of the PVC. I then wrapped the ends with tape to keep it secure. Then put the cover on it. Make sure the foam covers the cap, the exposed cap is what does the most damage to the hull when pulling on/off the trailer.

I stuck a few paint stirrers.....the cheap wooden ones from home depot that are free........into the ground and slid the pvc poles over the top.....I then sprayed about 4 thick coats of gloss black on the pvc pipes. Then I put the guide pads back on once they were dry.....they have held up fine with absolutely no chipping, peeling, etc.... They look much better painted.Last edited by quick; 05-15-2009, 09:16 PM.

If you want to paint, use SEM plastic primer and SEM plastic paint, it's the best.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More
