    Wake9.com opening day

Weather finally cleared up this last weekend, had a great time. New ballast and deck and prop, make an amazing difference. The wake is clean, large, and GREAT shape. The great thing, is after all of our experimenting, we have this wake, with only ~1000lbs of ballast, and 100% water. Then we just use 4-5 people for minor adjustment. Don't even need a full boat. Couldn't be happier. Thanks to SPBFAN for ordering the sacs for me, and soon for getting me all the stuff to make ballast FULL AUTO.

Also, I have been working on a new venture. I will be posting more about it here, this is the FIRST place I am talking about it. Basically, wake9.com is about a families love of wakesurfing, and a dad's need to tinker.

    Here is the video.

I LOVE T-Bone's response to the wake at 2:53

He actually said, "Yeah, its over my head". But his face when he got up, pointing at the wake and going DUDE, ITS HUGE, was all his natural response, cracked me up.

@dogbert That is a custom SMED wombat. We are going to be offering custom SMED boards through wake9, since SMED is pretty just one offing these days. I can tell you that board was very custom, and comes with the 4wfs fin system, which made the board over $600. RJ loves it though, and those honeycomb yellow fins and the blue, look awesome.

Sorry, for some reason didn't see your note on the wake. Thanks. The amazing part, is this wake, is AS LARGE and cleaner, as wakes we got with 3000 lbs. Now with the step, we can place it all in corner, list over enough to get perfect shape and size, and with only 1000 lbs of WATER, we are TOTALLY under manufacturer weight guidlines, and we are NOT dragging around any lead or pop bags.

By the way, make a visit up to wake9 first one to claim them, and get some free pop bags. I will prob just keep a few for testing.

Here is a pic from practicing yesterday, and this is only with myself, ash whit, rj, tbone and jessie out. Granted, I weigh 375 and sitting in rear corner, but you can see that we are NOT going nuts on weight at all. Also, now that boat is in slip, we have removed all our gear that we normally haul around, so the boat VERY lightly loaded.

Those are great pictures. That platform does make a huge difference with how the boat performs. You added a lot of weight to the furthest point on the back of the boat. Reason for the stepness of the wake.

It would be interesting to see the 3k lbs of ballast in the boat and compare it to the 1k lbs of ballast.

How much more does the aluminum platform weigh compared to the former fiberglass platform?

the old I think is about 40-50, the new is like 150.

                        Ragboy,

Nice wake & video! I'm digging the music.

So, you guys are riding regular or goofy without moving more than the people around from side-to-side, correct?

Yes. We have almost identical enzo style sacs on each side. We just empty one and fill the other, move a few people and DONE. That is EXACTLY what you see in video. No other sacs or weight. And 5-6 people, unloaded boat.

Also take note that that picture above, is taken from the lounge area, NOT from the water level side of boat, which can make the wake look more impressive. RJ actually said, its the best wake he has ever ridden, he was very stoked. He may be only a 13 yr old kid, but he has ridden behind some of the best wakesurf boats, including the new sangers, and new enzo 240s weighted by centurion themselves. He said the centurion was BIGGER, but he liked this better. But the enzo was weighted NUTS.

This weekend, we will be riding behind EPICs. Should be interesting.

first one to send me PM, I guess. Not on site. I am giving away the ones I experimented with, don't need them anymore. I have at least 6-700 lbs worth. You also must commit to driving up and getting them, don't want to ship those.
