    Tower and Bimini instuctions

Where can I get at least written if not also visual instructions on how to put up the '07 RZ2 bimini? Also,
The same thing for the tower?

    Thanks,

    Todd

What tower do you have, E or Z series?

Here is a link for the installation of the bimini on the E series, it may help.

http://tigeowners.com/downloads/2007...ntallation.pdf It and other info can be found under "Downloads" at the top of the screen.

      Thanks Chp,

I found the one for the bimini...that one is great. I looked in the downloads here, the main Tige site, and in the owner's manual for anything about the tower. No luck on that one. It's no the new alpha z tower. It's the beefy one from '07. That's the E? Sad that I don't know that, but I can't ever remember.

The beefier tower in 07 was referred to as the Z-Series Tower. It is a nicer tower than the E-Series.

Are you adding this tower or just the Bimini?

It's what came with the boat. Along with the thousand other things we went over on delivery, I guess I should have paid more attention to the bimini and the tower instructions. The instructions Chpthrl guided me to for the bimini are great. Does anyone know if there are some like that for the Z tower?

For my bimini, even with the instx I always did something wrong--so I got some grey duct tape, green electrical tape, black electircal tape and yellow masking tape and color coded the end of the pole with where they fit on the tower. That way I can have someone help me by just saying match the tape color.

I have to admit, when I first got my RZ2 I couldn't figure out how to install the bimini either. It depends on where your bimini mounts are located as I have noticed a few different variations of installations on the Z tower. Some biminis are mounted higher such as on the top of the cross bar on the tower.

Here is what my looks like, it maybe different than yours. I took this picture a while back since it was the first time I had the bimini up. It looks loose in this picture since the middle straps weren't tightened down all the way. Hopefully this will help.

If this is your bimini mount style I can give you more detailed info.

                  Matt,

That looks like the same style as mine. I'll take all the info/help I can get. Can you also offer advice on lowering the tower?

                  Thanks,

                  Todd

Matt also has the Z tower for your reference.

Help lowering the Z would be a great help. The Bimini goes without saying.

LOL... apparently that's easier said than done on that tower.

I have actually never lowered my tower, I have seen it done by one just person though. If I remember correctly, he loosened the support arms, held the top of the tower with one hand, took one support arm down with the other hand, then took the second support arm down. That probably doesnt help you out too much but it can be done by one person.

For the bimini, I will post some more pictures how its stowed and how to assemble it. Just give me some time since I am in the middle of a house move this week.

Our bimini is different on our z tower. I have a fourth bar in the front instead of the strap. Mine has no straps at all.
I'm on a boat man. I got my flippy floppies....

                              Matt,

The pictures were a huge help, especially the third one. My engineer father-in-law and I figured it out. Without your pictures I'm not sure that we would have.
Now all I have to do is figure out where the water is coming from that was in my bilge after we pulled it out of the lake!
