I'm about to haul the boat back to its home on the lift and the trailer tires are pretty low. Should I be able to inflate them with the boat sitting on the trailer? My compressor didn't seem to be able to fill them up any.

Yes you should be able to but you might have something wrong with your compressor. Take it yo the nearest gas station to fill it up.Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute.
