Keep changing out the oil and other fluids until they are no longer a milky color. My brother sunk his boat, with the engine under water for at least 10 minutes. Once we got the boat out of the water, we immediately changed out all the fluids 5-6 times through and everything was ok. We did everything ourselves immediately and got it turned over and back in the water the next day.

His boat was a 20'6" FAST *** all motor speed boat with 650HP. The bolts on the front of the intake grate fell literally turning it into an E-Brake. The nose of the boat dove under, a wall of water came crashing over the bow and next thing we know the bow is bobbing up and down, the back of the boat is bouncing off of the bottom of the river and were still sitting in the seats, wondering WTF just happened.

I look back on it and LMAO, it was actually pretty awesome. Especially looking at each other sitting in the seats and floating in the water

Nobody was hurt, the boat was working fine afterwards and he sold it for what he had paid for it. Than he got a moomba

            Jeffe,

Were you guys around Needles when that happened? How many years ago? I was sitting on a beach about 6 or 7 years ago and watched the same thing happen to someone.

              biggsteev,

Yeah it was in Needles & that seems like the time line for when it happened.

It was just up river from our house. The boat was a white Carrera with blue/black checkers towards the rear with the name "CUM N QUICK".

The water doesnt hurt things like the engine, its letting them sit after the fact that results in most boats being total-lossed.

Any of the electronics such as those that are circuit board type processors are probably toast, but let every thing dry out for a week or so, then put some power to them ans see what doesn't work.

                  Jeffe,

I think I watched it all go down. It all happened really fast but I'll have to say it was pretty funny watching everyone pop up from under the water, still sitting in their seats and floating down river. If it was you guys I believe someone attached a line to the bow and another inboard was able to tow you over to one of the sandy beaches across river.

                    Biggsteev,

Thats it exactly. There was someone on that beach that launched his boat there and he was nice enough to pull the boat on the trailer. We bilged everything out and than towed us back across the river to our house.

Do you go up there often? We will have to meet up some weekend, along with G-Money & Coach.
