Aluminum Brackets

I have a 2008 Tige Z1 located on a lake in south central Florida - love the boat and use it exclusively on a fresh water lake. On my tower, the aluminum brackets that hold my 4 wetsounds speakers on my tower have pitted very badly. They sit under a boat house, but are exposed. What can I do/buy to get them looking new again, Thanks, S

Where is the lake in relation to the ocean? I'm a corrosion engineer. The only time I've seen aluminum pit is near the ocean where the wind from the ocean blows onto the site. Unless you get them anodized or powder coated I don't see any permanent solutions. If you clean them, they will just start pitting again. Might try some chrome plated or 316 stainless brackets if you want the shiny look, or else some plain powder coated brackets.

Also check with wetsounds directly, my dealer had some bracket problems, located in Largo, FL, and I believe they are swapping them out.

Yes sir call your dealer or wetsounds and get the new style brackets.Problems solved and no more worries.

Yep, start with your dealer first, if they came with the boat at time of purchase, as they will technically be warrantied through Tige or your dealer.

Give Gyver a call at the office 877-938-7757. he can take care of you on the clamps. We have re tooled all new clamps made out of stainless so no worries on this on any future boats.
