    20V Drive Shaft Leak

I have a 2006 Tige 20v and it is taking on a lot of water. I suspect the drive shaft is leaking. How do you tighten the water tight packing?

    Thanks,

You should have the PSS dripless shaft which doesnt require tightening.

I would put the boat in and inspect it thouroughly and locate the leak. It could be a number of things, Underwater gear, thru-hull fittings, ballast system, engine cooling system, or it could indeed be the shaft.

zad's right. I'd check some of the other stuff like the plugs and cooling hoses...even the hose between the muffler and the exhaust.

When I'm surfing, and my wife is driving, we take on a lot of when she turns the boat around to pick me up. Seems like she always gets a ton of water over the bow.
