LAKE POWELL -- Listen up, boaters. There's a decent forecast for Lake Powell this year.
The Bureau of Reclamation has been crunching the latest snowpack numbers. It also had to calculate how much water will be left after mandatory releases to Arizona, Nevada and California.
We learned the answer today: The lake should peak in July at an elevation of 3,640 feet. That's seven feet higher than last year, putting the reservoir at 66 percent of capacity, or two-thirds full.
Not bad after all these years of drought.
