    New Boat Cover

I am looking for a new boat cover for my 2004 22I. The original cover has already dried out from sun and has tears.

Any recommendations from everyone on the best covers out there to purchase. Since the boat is stored outdoors I will need something that can resist the sun pretty good.

    Any help would be great.

This is the best travel cover I've seen.

forjar I'm curious to know what brand and type of cover did you have that wore so quickly?

It was the cover that was given to me with the boat. I was not to happy that it only lasted a year. I think that it was one of the cotton based covers.

I think that I have decided to go with one of the sunbrella covers.

          boat cover

There is a company called Adlese in Corona
They make a full cover ( below the water line ), or any deviation you want.
The thing that I like, is that they only make boat covers and Bimini tops.
and when you only do one thing, you usually do it better then the other guy.
From you the will be about 1 to 2 hours away. ( you will need to bring your boat down to them, as everything they do is a custom fit )

Do you have a cover from them? How much did it cost you?

I've used Adlee a few times myself to sew up my p.o.s. cover and they are really good people to go through.

                cover

I have a 2004 so my cover is still good, but I got a second Bimini from then.
It goes from 12” after the stern to 4” over the original bimini ( it also is about 8” wider then the original )
They charged me $600 and it took 2 days.

We love to go to Laughlin and hate the sun, but this solved our problems.
                Sorry no photos.

                  Boat cover

I have the rankin cover on my Tige and it is the best.
I told the Tige dealer hear in BC that I wouldn't buy the boat unless he got me one of them. He did, and when he saw it on my new boat he pomptly sent all the Tige covers he had back to Tige and out fitted every new Tige he had with one, and every Tige since. My boat is now three years old and the cover is still as good as new. Yes, it spends the summer outside and the winter inside.

I got a new Tige "shark skin" cover a couple of years ago and it has already rotted and has torn. I had it repaired and seems to be holding up for now, but I can tell the whole thing has lost it's durability. Kind of sucks considering how expensive those things are.

                      hanzj,

I see that you are having the same problem as me. I am really dissappointed that the cover did not last that long, but I have researched new covers it seems that the covers made from the sunbrella material are that best covers out there and I do believe that Rankin uses this material for their covers.

I have talk to them about it and it seems that the covers are going for about $850.00

We used Adlee and are very happy.
Take in other estimates, and hold them to their orig. estimate reguardless of other intangible charges they may point out.

We got the tower cover too.
Prices for good boat covers ar all about the same we found.
We got estimates from the shop at Castaic lake, another from a shop in Havasu.
All good shops, all near same estimates.

I could understand the folks at Adlee, and they are very accomodating.

                            OK let's try this again
If this picture does not work this time. . .email me and I can show you lots of pics from all angles. . .we use a waterproof, trailerable cover with 4 vents to help it breathe, two pole socks, and it is snapped and has a draw-string with tie-down reinforcements. They are custom fitted and fit nicely around the towers too. Sunbrella, breathes well, but should not be trailered on the boat. Once Sunbrella stretches, it will leak and sag! JMHO
