see i would like to run it all the way through the floor but the rear pylon is nothing more than a small piece of the pylon then has a piece of all thread that sticks through the hole and gets a nut on it. i doesnt run all the way down. i guess i could make the hole bigger and make a bracket.

or what if i let the all thread go all the way to the floot and connect that to a bracket

            I’ve put them in a bar before…..
Think moment arm or pry bar……. it will fail with enough beer.

            Through to the bilge area
            or best is
floor to tower with seats around it.
the pole has a slip fitting up top and a floor ring it slips down into with a pin
that way the pole can spin

have seen the stresses, not sure I would put one on unless it's mounted to the tower as well....

now that I think about it, probably not. That seatbase is really flimsy. I think you would have to make a stronger sleeve that goes down and sits above the vdrive and then brace the sleeve to the stringers. Then, slide the pole into the sleeve.

                    Been there, seen that.

Amen B, that was some fun times...

Don't let him fool you, there was more than just a pole in OB's boat. I remember a mirrored ball once with some wild-a$$ lighting too...

                    Guys-

                    It's not an optical illusion.
                    It just looks like one.....

I thought the same thing as they were trying to figure out how to mount it.

i guess ima have to find another way.. maybe i can mount it to the tower if i were to mount the pole like a 6 in behind the toer and made a bracket to run from the top of the pole to the tower then it would be just right infront of the 485.
