Do Nice Guys Finish last at the Service Dept?

We are beside ourselves that after our Tige spending a month at our Tige dealer, our boat is still plagued with it's demons.

We have indoor storage and really take good care of our Tige.
It languishing in the dealers outdoor storage with un-resolved problems just grates us.

We take pride in the ownership of it, and for it to sit there abandon week after week is a sad dealio.

But, we've tried to keep our cool and handle the problem with a level head, but we still feel ignored and forgotten the problems still haunting us.

Is it time to be a jerk, make a big scene at the dealer and maybe get noticed?

I would tell them that you are not happy and if they are going to have the boat longer that you want it parked inside while waiting for whatever part or thigamabob. I made mine do this last October when I had them doing work and they agreed that since I kept in my garage that they too should store in a similar fashion.

What are they going to do, report you to Tige for being aggravated at slow service?

Im scared to tell my marina about minor problems because they are so bad, I've decided just to live with it. Id definitely say something.

Sadly it is a far to common problem. Good customer service is not that hard to give, communication is the key. If they would only talk to you about it. But in many cases the only solution is to get in their faces. They should be bending backwards for you especially todays economy.

Have you aired out your concerns with anyone at the dealership? Service dept., Management or Owner?

Or is this the first time you are airing out your frustrations?

Just tell em how you feel. Might be a bit overboard, but see if you can develop a schedule with them.

I would most certainly express your feeling for your situation. If they don't listen then go to the next step. First give them a shot at hearing you out.

What problems are you having? I'm not defending your dealer. But I doubt that they want to have your boat at their store any more than you do. Be the polite jerk at first. It works. Call every day. Sometimes more than once depending on what and when they are promising. The squeaky wheel gets the grease. The longer it takes for you to get your problem resolved, the more you get to ask for. Like an oil change. If they are a good dealer/service department they should want to take care of any little items to help put themselves in good graces with you.

                Good Luck

I agree, but I'd try and be pleasant to deal with, but make them feel super guilty. Make them want to do the right thing for you rather than getting into a pissing contest. People generally want to do the right thing, but sometimes things get away from them. If you still can't get satisfaction, I'd contact Tige directly and see if they can work with your dealer to make things right.

I went to the OC boat show on Friday night and spoke with TWS. I mentioned this post. They said they knew about it and checked with their service dept. The boat hasn't been in their shop in about 6 months.

So, what gives? What's your status Wake Bandits?
