The 20V and 20I I believe also share same hull heritage but because of V drive you will have deeper slalom wake as you take of more rope. We recreational ski at 15-20 of and the 20V is good for us. Kids are all grown and boating friends all rotate as thirds or more depending on how many of us go to the same place. The 20V is no as Good as 20I at short line lengths but at my age, If knee holds out I am temped to surf and ski but no more wakeboards or knee boards, I have already had to tone doen my slalom cut because of knee and invested in Wide body to make it easier on me. Age is starting to define ehat I may or may not do.
I could no longer get up on my old 190php 5.0 L Ford block It could not get me up so I hope that the colorful 20V can with 340HP and a decent holeshot..Last edited by MoneyPity; 04-01-2009, 06:22 AM.

The 22ve is a nice boat. My uncle bought the 'Bu 21 xti and it is really nice inside, looks fantastic, is great to drive although a bit rough in the white caps and the wake sucks. The ski is fairly large but seems reasonably soft. The wakeboard wakes are pretty nice just like any 'Bu I've ever been behind but, the surf wake gets a big fat 0 from this judge. Small, horribly shaped with zero angle. No fun. Straight up deal killer for me.
I ride behind a 22ve quite a bit. The ski wake is pretty big compared to an all out slalom machine (obviously) and pretty firm. Wide table and troughs but, nice long transitions at least. It's not the best in the world but, not too bad. Wakeboard wake is dope. Wakesurf wake is SUPER dope. Drives like a Corvette, rides like a Cadillac. Vision Air seat, dope. All other seats are really comfy. Transom rules. All in all, not too big, not too small, just right. I've yet to "test" an RZ2 but, I like the look of it and I'm sure that, if they all cost the same, I would be in a new Ve or RZ with a 2 at the end.
Hopefully these will help.Attached Files- DSC_0062.jpg (91.3 KB, 106 views)

Not me skiing either but, thanks for critiquing. This sequence was after nearly 10 minutes of turn after turn after turn. I will never say anything bad about that guys skiing. That guy has bigger balls than anyone I've ever seen. I've seen him go out in soup that no one in their right mind should even boat in and completely disappear behind a roller and blast through the other side and keep right on going. He also does this on a circa mid-70's Jobe. He is my Waterski Hero. You'll get your chance, smart guy.

I like 22ve, great for EVERYTHING. When slalom skiing have as few people as possible in the boat, the wake is better than most comparable V drives. As has been stated, you can surf, wakeboard, pull kids on tubes and it does them all well. The 20 v is a better slalom boat, but for as much as I slalom anymore it doesn't matter, I like the transom and bow storage access better in the 22ve. Just my .02.
Oh sorry .....didn't mean to go back on topic"Half the money I spend on advertising is wasted....the problem is I don't know which half."

I do see a lot of prop wash behind the boat going back 10-15 foot and then it calms down.
The skier is very good. I don't know what line length but he definitely has turning as if they were no effort.
I have skied behind the 99 NC Sport 230 Maristar and it is okay for recreational skiing but is very hard to make a full run thru all buoy's. Just too much rough water at the wake entry, I know I have easy of turn so I could absorb the shock of hitting the wake pulling hard. When pulling hard many a face plant occurred
