Possum Kingdom Lake

Anyone been to Possum Kingdom Lake near Graford, TX? I was looking at taking a weekend trip down there this summer. If anyone has gone, where did you stay when you went? Give me as much info as you can. Thanks for the help.

Possum Kingdom Lake

Try the condos at the Cliff's Resort, plus they have a hotel there. Pretty pricey, but great location on the lake and nice facilities. The only problem is parking the boat overnight. There are not many slips available and the first ones in at night get the slips. If you stay on the water all day you might have to trailer your boat up to the parking lot. Usually not a problem during the week, but the weekends get really crowded at PK.

Possum Kingdom is a great lake. Very Big, Great water. They have several places to eat around the the lake. Diffidently check out Hell's Gate. They have a great state park if you are into camping, and some really nice hotels/condos to rent.

HOME LAKE.
try to stay on the Dam side of the lake, water is very clean and the big cliffs give you a chance to find flat water even when the wind is blowing (which is always....)
The Cliffs is a very nice resort style experience with an awesome golf course. Unless you are a 5 handicap or better, bring 20+ balls.

There are a few motels around, but the State Parks are not a bad deal if you are into camping.

HELLS GATE is the place to hang out and definately the place to be on the happening weekends.

I am originally from NW Ark and this is nothing compared to my old BEAVER LAKE and Table Rock, but it is real nice for a Texas Lake...

Home lake as well. Everybody hit the good places on the dam side if you go to the other side you can rent cabins from Baileys(which is owned by my friend's family), Possum Hollow, Fox Hollow, Bass Hollow. The state park is cool, it has been a while since I have camped there but I remember the deer eating from your hand there. Very cool for kids. Let me know when you are gonna be there, maybe we can hook up and ride.
