    Prop question

I was talking with Valley Propeller in CA, and they recommend that removed it before towing the boat. This is due to the chance of rocks and other debris hitting while towing the trailer. So I was wondering what other do?

never heard of that, but it does make sense. I just don't really want to go through the hassle of taking off my prop every time. Would rather spend that extra 15-30min drinking beer on my boat.

Been towing a boat to the lake for 30 years, first time I have ever heard that one. What a hassle that would be on an inboard.

If you take the boat off the trailer, the hull won't get chipped either.

F that man. Those guys are smoking crack. Don't worry and tow that boat with the prop.
It is a good idea to put a piece of duct tape over the speedo paddle wheel to keep it from free spinning when you are towing over a long distance. It spins under high speeds and can burn up from what I have found out.
I did not have any problems with my previous 22V but will be taping my Avy on long trips.

If you left your boat at home, there's zero chance of damaging it.

Seriously, maybe if I were towing it across the country...but I doubt it.

I will assume that your trailer has the proper prop protection on it. This is usually some flavor of a steel bar or cage to deflect stray boulders, but more likely protection from tail-dragging road to driveway / parking lot humps. Make sure you are protected.

Nobody I know of or heard of removes their prop, except for damage from submerged obstacles

Maybe put one of those goofy dog, flea cones around the prop shaft backwards?
