Ok so this summer when I get home I am looking at taking my boat on a couple LONG trips. the First is Denver to Saginaw, MI. Aunt has a Cabin on a lake up that way and it comes in at about 1300mi. Then on the trip back we are talking about swing south and going through St Louis and that comes in at about 1500mi total trip 2800 miles.
Then if all goes as plan I will be moving to the Ft Lauderdale, FL in October sometime and that is 2,000mi. Then the boat will be goin on the boat lift on the pravite ski lake that I will be living on. I don't plan on towing it again until someone else buys it or I trade it in on an newer 20i
In Denver it sits up at the lake (standley) most of the summer so from boat parking to ramp 1/4 mile maybe. the tow home is about 3 miles just because I have to go all the way around the lake these days. Back in the 90's it was 1 mile from boat ramp to driveway. those where the GOOD OLE DAYS!

Heck I got the state and City correct

The last time I was there we went to a resort that we found at a recreation show that was priced at $500 for a week and a $100 deposit. We thought price was low but the pictures and customer letters of reference all looked ok so we decided to see if we liked a set of lakes closer to home.

When we got there it looked nice with a old south plantation style house. Once inside it looked like it needed tons of work, They told us what unit we where in and we pulled up to it and unloaded the boat into a second floor unit. The floors shook so much it was un-real. We thought we would fall thru to first floor.

We decided to take boat for an evening cruise and see what the next day brought. When we got back and opened the unit we turned on the lights and where greeted by cockroaches and so many other critters we ran to Walmart to get bug killer and room deoderizer.

We were glad that we packed sleeping bags for our girls and blankets for ourselves.

While at Wally World I was able to contact one of the resorts I knew on Tablerock and found an open cottage for the week. I confirmed it for arrival the next afternoon.

We pulled the boat and backed it up to the unit and reloaded.
At 5 the next morning we skipped the shower because the spiders owned it and headed out of the place. Our most direct route was US 60/160 across KY and Missouri to Shell Knob ,Mo. Nice scenic route towing our 19' Fourwinns behind my Grand Caravan in heavy rain most of the day. The Caravan easily towed the 3500lb boat and handled the trip but it was a long 10 hour ride but worth it in the end.

After that trip from hell episode we have not been back to those lakes even though they are 7 hours vs 10-11 hours away from home.

I have cousins who live near Paducah and when we meet to go boating we head to the White river lakes of Arkansas and Missouri.

Our local lakes, Elsinore & Perris are about 1.5 hours away. Pyramid is 2 hours and our main lake, San Antonio, is 5 hours. When we get a chance to go big, we will hit Lake Powell, which is a full day (and evening's) drive. Of course, if I would put her in salt, I could either go down the hill to Dana Point Harbor or an hour to Mission Bay......

We only have to drive about 15 mins to our home lake, but our "secret stash" is about 2 hours away. On occasion we'll go up to nothern WI and meet my sister and brother-in-law. thats about a 5 hour drive.

We will have to set up a weekend sometime soon. Our next big trip will be the weekend after Easter (April 17-20). I think I will be up there the weekend after next as well, but am not sure.

Farthest-Right at 600, Tulsa to Houston with a stop over in Granbury Tx. It was when I bought the boat, never trailered anything before, and it poured, and I mean absolutely poured for well over 400 miles of the trip.

Typical- 200 yards. Have a dry storage at Lake Keystone
I tow to Shasta every year and that's a haul, but a typical tow is 70 miles round trip for me.

jleger98 - Let me know when and where in Northern WI. We are in Tomahawk every weekend and only 25 miles to Minocqua. Always looking for peeps to help with the wake for surfing.

We usually go to Minocqua. Love the chain of lakes up there. I'm trying to figure out when my sister can meet us down there (she's in Marquette). I'll give you a hollar when we figure it out.

Our shortest drive is three miles from home to the boat launch on the Columbia river.
Longest is seven to eight hours to Shasta and Idaho.
