Bimini Tops

Ok I have a 2004 22v with tige tower as shown below. I want more coverage from my bimini. I have 2 problems my tower is narrower at the top and relatively short from the mounting point. So getting it fold is up is a problem.
I am open to all ideas and post up pics of yours if you have any from the same year. I would like to still be able to fold or be easy to take down. Lets hear/see some ideas

One thing to consider would be a custom top that mounts more like a T-Top, (i.e., the frame goes all the way around the edges of the bimini. They make special quick release mounts (similar to those you get with a Monster Tower bimini) that would allow you to drop part of it to lower it or remove it entirely. The only downside would be that you could never really fold it up, but because it's flat, that may not be an issue. It would mount to each tower support. If you are having something like this made, I'd inquire about including some straps/cross-supports that would allow you to use it to store larger items like surfboards or tubes. The nice thing about this is that you could then extend it as far forward or back as you want. This would be very similar to the Roswell Tower bimini you find on the larger Supra wakeboard boats. They include 2 surf board racks and you can get to them by dropping the rear portion of the bimini down into the cockpit area. It's a clever design and I'm surprised that not more companies offer this.

I have considered that and having the welders at work build me the frame and the canvas guys could sew for me. I was thinking of making it velcro on the edges easy on easy off or snaps ?

Thats what I put on my boat
They attach w/speaker like mounts and you can fold up or take down or take off in minutes. mine is a regular lenght, but they have an extra long also.
Just call them for a measurement sheet, fill it out to your boat and then send it back w/the money.
