    Anchoring Kickers/sliders

I am curious as to if anyone might have some helpful ideas on how to anchor our kicker and sliders to the lake bottom. Some frames are made from drill stem 2 3/8" pipe and others from good old fashioned wood. I'm guessing concrete buckets are the best bet???

When I am at we cant have fixed in the ground ones so Mine floats and we anchor it down. I would say wood would be the best route. Instead of buckets you could drive the posts in the ground.

The pipe is really easy to drive in the ground, but to get the wood in the ground (4x4 posts) I'm gonna have to start working out religiously for the next couple of months LOL.

IMO, try 2x4's that are pointed. Probably will go into the bottom better and easier

I have 3 4x4's (treated) left over from building my deck and so I was trying to use them, but prolly worth the extra pennys and saving my back to get the 2x4's.
The sliders built of pipe are being set into concrete and I can already tell, that thing is katrina proof.
I am now looking for a surface for the kicker, Anybody wanna ship me some fermica countertops you have lying around?

Look for the sheets of PVC. Thats what I believe they are using on sliders at OWC and places like that. I am looking to get some of that to make a fun box sometime.

I would try the 2x4's I think they would be strong enough.
