Tige Steps Up On Warranty - Thanks

We want to thank Tige for stepping up to resolve the problems on our new 2008 22ve. The general manager of Tige called on Friday and will be taking care of the engine alignment along with the gel coat/rubrail problems listed in previous threads. We feel now that Tige is a stand up company who will take care of business when presented with a situation as ours. They have set a date late in March to inspect the boat and so a pm was sent to Matt on Saturday to remove the original thread.

The Tige forum is a valuable place for new buyers and existing owners. It helped us on our purchase and now to resolve the problems with the dealer. The dealer relationship is important and we appreciate the feedback from everybody on the forum but the good ol' handshake did not work for us. In today's ecomony your company name is everything and now we are proud to own a Tige.

    Thank you Tige.

        That is great to hear.

I would like to add, that even though I was VERY vocal on this issue, I didn't doubt that Tige would do the right thing in the end. It always seemed like more of a dealer issue to me anyway. I just think, in this tough time, a little accountability was a good thing.

I still don't like the idea that threads are being deleted, though.

          Awesome to hear!!!

Even though this was a controversial thread at times, atleast Tige and the moderators let us voice our opiniions and responded a bit. When I was looking at mc's a similar issue was going on with the moderator's deleting threads and even locking accounts, made me wonder what had gone on that they were all so mad about. Worked out in the end because the local mc dealer is a joke.

Glad tige will be getting you back on the water this summer, enjoy the boat!

            jwsatdlr,

Thanks for the update and I am glad to hear that a satisfactory resolution has been reached!

I believe that your situation was an exception rather than the norm and that is why it got some emotions flying on this forum. Historically, Tigé and it's dealer network seem to take care of the customers and vice-versa. That was one of my reasons for selecting a Tigé...well, that and the fact that chicks totally dig dudes who own a Tigé boat (even if they are middle-aged and overweight)!

We have a place in bullhead/fort Mohave area and go to lake Mohave above Laughlin. We started young and have lived in Victorville 32 years. Our kids have been raised at the river on family/friends boats. We had a bayliner way back in mid 80's before the kids and had to sell it when they arrived. It will be nice this summer with everything fixed and can go to water and relax. Although, I picked up this wakeboard action at 45 and it's hard to relax after trying the tricks at my age.

Great to hear the news. Glad Tige stepped up and did the right thing. However, I still believe the dealer was the main issue here. But everything worked out in the long run.

Anyway, welcome to the site and post pictures of your ride as soon as you can.

I believe the 2 negative threads have both been deleted. Which is what I meant when I said it still bugs me.

Good to hear that it worked out for you.

Just to make things clear. Only one thread was deleted by Tige. The other was deleted by the request of jwsatdlr. Regardless though, I am glad everyone is working it out.

                              Ragboy,

I had asked Matt to delete the second thread since Tige was now involved and did not want any further bad press. It was removed soley at my request.
