    Tige wanted

First off, great site with tons of useful information. Where does one go to get the Blue Book value of a boat? It seems like similar boats vary greatly from dealer to dealer. I am budgeted to spend between $35k and $40k. Any suggestions on the best Tige I should be able to get and what year? Used is fine, I want to be able to buy a boat and hit the water, tower and stereo ready to go. Also, I read in other posts that developing a great relationship with the local dealer is of utmost importance, is that possible if you do not buy the boat from them?

Thanks in advance for the helpful advice.

NADA guides gives the used boat values. They are most likely a little high since the market is still going south. Really check out Boattrader.com and only inboards for sales from private parties. Lots of people need to unload there toys,

Matt at the Boat House in Boulder is a great person to deal with. I am sure he would treat you right if you bought elsewhere.
    Let it be!!!

As an indicator, my color full 2007 20V will be for sale in that range in later June near Chicago. By that time it may have 50 hours on it but it is fairly well equipped. It is in the
      forum at http://www.tigeowners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8880.

It is in new condition with custom trailer. colors and options listed at the URL. Put on sunglasses because the boats colors are very bright

Due to a mishap, I was fortunate and insurance replaced the stock e-series tower with a custom Sampson tower with 1 wakeboard rack and 1 ski rack. It is the Razor model which goes for $4000 plus options like the WetSounds Pro-60 Speakers and the 4 docking lights.

As I indicated the boat is very bright as far as color it is a Tangerine, Frost and Yellow combo with a yellow swpf..

I did not buy my boat from Matt at the Boat Shop in Boulder City, but have a great relationship with him and his mechanics. They are great people and have always been extremely helpful when I've needed. Plus they are willing to just talk boats or pretty much anything else with you when you see them.

I found mine on boattrader a few years ago and found my first boat in TX on boattrader as well. Plus when you need toys for your new purchase the folks are here are always selling parts after upgrades (thank you Jim ).
        Honey I'm home!

          As mentioned go to
          http://www.nadaguides.com/default.as...c=MR&ml=T&pg=2

Remember a few things, you have to add for nearly everything, including a trailer. I would be happy to help you if you would like, pm me or email. Also a pic helps in booking out a boat for options.

As far as the dealer goes, I would call and ask them. Then you know what to expect. Also they may have a hot deal or be willing to add options to get you into a boat just the way you want it.

As far as size goes I would say 22ve Rz2 on up for Mead.

Thanks for the info. on Matt. Why do you say buy only from a private party? Do dealer's have to much mark up?

Dealers will have a markup with their 09's but there are killer deals to be had with the 07's and 08's on the lot of some dealers.

CHP's boat would be a great option...not as much as he wants to spend, but he could then spend the extra for beverages.

At least he knows it has been well taken care of. Is it still out there?

Trust me, I would not be opposed to spending less, if I could get a great boat, good tunes, and all the goodies to go with it.
