Ok, wait a minute. I got how the rim got Ron Jeremied, but what's the story on the huge gash on the outside of the tire? Fender well?

Tequilasun, I am assuming that the tire stopped spinning while the trailer was still moving. The asphalt tore a hole into the sidewalls.

The caliper came off on the highway at 55mph and locked up the wheel and bent the rim that caused the tire blow then rip causing the gash you see in the tire.
