2008 2009 Tige bimini owners

Attached is a pic of a 2008/2009 factory bimini bracket. My 2007 20V has a 2 3/8 diameter tower. As you can tell the bracket is smaller. Can some people with a 2008/2009 bimini confirm that the bracket should fit flush with the tower? I am trying to find out through Tige and my dealer if the bracket comes in different sizes.

I realize I have a totally different tower and year than you are asking about but to possibly put your mind at ease, mine sit off the tubes like your shot there. The tower is a larger diameter than they make the little base swivel for I guess. I will be interested to find if some people's do mesh completely flat on the tower tubes.

My boat is an 07 24ve and it looks like yours does. I have always wondered the same thing as you. I cant believe that they wouldnt fabricate a bracket that would fit flush.

For what it's worth. We have an 07 24 Ve, 05 24V, 05 22V here right now and they all are flush.

Curious, what did you pay for your bimini? Is it a tige ordered or aftefrmarket?

its a tige factory bimini, and they run about 1100 for bimini plus sunshade

Please explain...I understand the bimini part (tower and forward) but what is sunshade? And, do you think it's worth it? Or would you go custom?

In Florida, I'd shop around a little first, there are so many places that do that custom here, you can probably get a better deal. Of course if Dom orders it for you you will get excellent service which some canvas shops are not known for. The only thing you have to remember, the wetsounds boat, which I assume you have in mind, though not your driveway has a semi custom tower with a straight lower bar that probably effectively lowers the speakers a bit.

That post has pics of the sunshade. I think it will be worth it, but it is not installed due to my brackets being for a different size tower.

Also, I am assuming since they change bimini manufacturers in 2008, that the 2007 brackets are different. If anybody can take some pics of the brackets on a 2008 or 2009 bimini i'd appreciate it.

All the bimini mounting hardware on my original tower fit flush. It is an 07 20V but tower has been replaced with a Samson so I cannot take photo's of what did exist but I do have all the brackets from the original Tige e series tower.

Too Funny! I will be more than happy to stop by your house on the way home from New Orleans. We can have a couple of beers and watch all the neighbors come out of their homes... one by one. What do ya say??? It'll be fun!

I will only go with a bimini that is below Tim's monster speaker set. There is 6 feet of clearance....just enough!

What I REALLY want / need is a two piece top. Forward section, and rear section with roll down side skirts to ride out the storms. I was told it would cost around 3K for all.
