Or this one, When there is no more credit people need cash and they start selling everything. This is driving prices down in all sectors.

If I wasn't worried about job and I had a place to store I'd make an offer so I could get rid of a gay fag boat

                  Not j/k

It looks like a hell of a ride that someone is loosing kiester on at that price. I would speculate either cannot make payment or needs cash for mortgage. Either way it suck for a fellow boater.

The biatc in my situation is I have credit out the wazoo. I could pay off mortgage with it but all I did was xfer the debt.

If the fed would allow peeps to pull money out of 401k's w/o the penalty and allow 5 years to pay off the taxes many people could save their mortgages.

                    Moneypity,

The problem is that all retirement is down 40 to 50 percent right now so I'm not sure if it would help many people right now.
It is really interesting to see the prices free falling on used boats. I would love to sit in the board meetings to hear what the big wigs are saying.
I predict there are going to be a quite a few boat manufactures going under during this year. I think Mastercraft is going to be the first due to their crazy sky hi prices.

I think Mastercraft will survive because I would speculate due to high pricing of past that they have huge cash reserves. The will need to re-think marketing and pricing but they should survive.

I am concerned about Tige. They have taken measures to keep afloat (no pun intended) with the 1 month shutdown and layoffs but the new 2006 facility may be an issue. If the facility is debt free Tige can probably run lean and mean and attrack buyers with new designs, reputation for great service and their price points. If it is a low interest loan with great tax breakes from Abilene and Texas then that would be good also.

As a Tigeowner I not only want them to survive but need them to so re-sale does not completely bottom out.

That is not my boat, but it was there when I was there. It is in pretty good shape, but could be better.

The NADA low book is going to be about 60K on that X45 with the 8.1L engine. The engine is a huge markup. If the 05 Kona posted is with the regular engine, then low book on that is going to be high 40's. Not that great a deal. If it has the 8.1, then it is priced to sell.
                          Be excellent to one another.

Tige has done it right. It is my understanding that the City of Abilene financed their plant and it gets paid back on a per boat basis. The more boats they make, the more (or faster) the city is paid. As the economy slows and production drops, the city gets less money. It is an incredible deal for Tige.
