Finally cut out my new traction pads for my platform. I had a large sheet of non stick gator grip. I used part for pads on my trailer fenders. Hopefully next time out to the boat I will get them installed. With the leftover will most likely add a transom saver

Then finally I came across this stuff, it's a neoprene foam:

It was cheap, a half sheet of it 21" by 71" at 1/4 thickness, was about $17-18 bucks shipped. Then you add another $20 for them to add the 3m peel off sticker stuff.

Had them cut a two strips of it 5" by 6' (free of charge) and still have about 11" by 6'. All for around $40 shipped.

It's solid with a rubbery feel to it. I think it would be great to replace the stuff on the fiberglass platforms. Plus you don't have to splice, the biggest plus IMHO.

Only really negative thing is there is only one color a dark charcoal. But it worked out perfect for my application.

I'll take a picture of the stuff on my boat later today.
I had neoprene traction pads in my old boat. They became slippery when wet as they aged. Many people slipped on them in my old boat before I replaced them.
