Only 5'10", so I'm sure the tower won't be a problem. Jason brings up a good point with the color; how hot (to the touch) does your tower get after sitting in the sun during the day?
I haven't noticed any problem with the tower feeling too hot to the touch. Of course, whenever we are out on a sunny day, we have the bimini with extension up, so it is in/out of the shade all day. It may get hot, but nothing significant enough to be a problem so far.
