    taps gauge ?

does it work when its out of the water. i just put a cap on that green wire to the ground wire to take the pop out of my speakers and it worked.. taps plate moves. i only tried it with the key in the acc position. looked at the gauge and the light is on but the needle doesnt adjust with the plate. so i unhooked the cap. still doesnt move. boats bee sitting for a few months. is it just stuck or what ? good news .. my pop in my speakers is GONE !!!.. HELL YEAH !!

For some strange reason..........my taps gauge doesn't move when the lights are on but the plate does......and they both work fine when the lights are not on. I am normally not wakeboarding in the dark so I just got over it.

On my boat, you have to have the key in the on position to get the taps to work.
If my ram is moving, then my gage should work. Or at least that is how it is on my 2004. The only issue is the engine start signal will be going off.
Tige, it's a way of life!

Gauges are not powered up in the ACC position.
