    advice for garage wake/ski racks

I want to add some racks to store wake boards and skis on my garage walls, I would like to build them myself. Please help with suggestions and pictures won't hurt

This link hs some ideas at end of threads. Do a broadbase search on board racks and you will see more.

The most clever rack I've seen was two 2x4s mounted vertically with the narrow side to the wall. Then they drilled holes large enough for a decent sized dowel to fit in on an angle.

A local board shop here has done something like that but with rebar that is covered with a clear rubber hose. Looks pretty classy.
        Be excellent to one another.

I used 2 x 4’s mount vertically, drilled holes for dowels & put pipe insulation over the dowel. It works great for wakeboards, wakeskate, snowboard, skateboards, shred-stick & the kid’s scooters. Very inexpensive, easy to install & to move if needed.

It's made out of 1x6. 2 per side. He routered out the center so its seated nicely. Not exactly sure how he got the fork part. He made a cardboard cut out to see how it would hold the boards. Then just duplicated it. I'll ask to see if he still has it

Awesome rack. Heck I would mount it in my basement on the sports wall. I looks like a piece of furniture and would look classy to me.
