I want to add some racks to store wake boards and skis on my garage walls, I would like to build them myself. Please help with suggestions and pictures won't hurt

The most clever rack I've seen was two 2x4s mounted vertically with the narrow side to the wall. Then they drilled holes large enough for a decent sized dowel to fit in on an angle.Cursed by a fortune cookie: "Your principles mean more to you than any money or success."Comment

I used 2 x 4’s mount vertically, drilled holes for dowels & put pipe insulation over the dowel. It works great for wakeboards, wakeskate, snowboard, skateboards, shred-stick & the kid’s scooters. Very inexpensive, easy to install & to move if needed.Comment

It's made out of 1x6. 2 per side. He routered out the center so its seated nicely. Not exactly sure how he got the fork part. He made a cardboard cut out to see how it would hold the boards.
