I know this may not sit very well with the Tige loyals, but I saw MSRP on Tiges at the Utah show around $100,000 for the RZ4 (reduced to $80,000 range for boat show pricing). That seems high given our current economic situation.

The Mastercraft dealer understand it is time to cut the losses and get rid of the inventory before it ages and he goes into the red furthur than he probably already is. It would be interesting to drive by his lot in a couple of weeks to see if everyone picked up there boats they bought.
$100K for a TIGE that is nuts. What does it have on it to be worth 100K. Is it like a 30' yacht or somthing? WOW.www.automarinecare.com CWB, ACME, FlyHigh, Merc Marine, PCM, Marine-power, WETSOUNDS, HSE Volume Controls, Kicker, Sony, Samson Sports, and many other marine parts or accessory's.

I love my Tigé, but these local MC guys are pretty good at marketing and everyone I have talked to that has dealt with them say they are great before, during and after the sale. Which as we all know is as important as what boat to buy.
Aonther bit of useless info is that I know or have an acquaintance that is good friends with the owner of Marine Products, he says they are claiming selling 21 boats at the show. That seems like a great number for this economy. They sell Supra, Moomba, and some fishing brand. My dad always said "Stupid Hurts". He's yet to be proven wrong, but for some reason I keep trying.

The fact is that Tige has placed themselves to compete with the big 3. That is in quality, service and performance. I think they actually do compare very well with them. The problem with this is that they have not been able to do it without the same price tag. I think you shop a comparably equipped NEW Bu, CC, MC and Tige and you will be in the same ballpark right now...at least in Utah that is, unless you stumble upon a very good deal.
The MC guys might have been advertising 100k for an X-45, but then I bet when they get you behind the curtain, you then get stoked when you get it in the 80's if you are a good negotiator. Then you look at the RZ4, and there are many people that paid in the 80's for theirs.
Also, when I was shopping for boats, the deals in California and elsewhere were way better than Utah...so I do think the local economy has not been hit as bad. Arizona also seemed out of touch with the rest of the country.Last edited by talltigeguy; 02-10-2009, 04:14 PM.Be excellent to one another.

It is also common to place sold stickers on boat in the show to create some excitement. "Selling like hotcakes". It's not like the dealer can't get more boats.Indecision may or may not be my problem
