The malibu dash is very cool, 09 Tige dash needs work. That flat piece of crome trim does not do it for me. Needs a complete re-design (IMO).

That's all we need, BU drivers focused intently down at the dash and the boarder behind, or watching Mutiny on the Bounty whilst supposedly piloting the boat. I predict there will be any number of these systems available at the local marine salvage yard from boats that end up on shore, at speed.

I like the new dash in the Tige, Simple and uncluttered, and most importantly, easy to use.

I think the Maliview is pretty sweet. They did it right with this product.

My only thought is that I am very reluctant to put that in sun, water, double ups and every other element our boats go through. So if that dash goes out do I not have the ability to operate my boat? How about after warranty? What does it cost to fix that?

Hell sometimes my analog views give me a problem, couldn't imagine this.

They did a very nice job for sure. But I agree with Matt. You can only get so technical with something that lives in the water. Unless you tow it around on a trailer to show it off to everyone. But for the most part I don't think BU guys do that. I will give them the benefit of the doubt that they use there boats quite often.

As a mechanic the dash needs to be trusted, i.e. oil pressure gauge goes out
the boat sits dead in the water until it can be confirmed as a "just the gauge". I agree keep the controls simple, on/off switches nothing digital. Maybe just some digital gauges like in the corvette or S2000.

The digital toggel switches can be operated at the fuse box if the screen goes out. Which these switches control everything to the ballest, horn to the wedge. RPM oil speed and other essential are on the mechanical gauges to the left and right of the maliview the only thing you will lose if the maliview does go out is your rider presets.
If your going to go out and spend all this cash on a new boat most people like the latest and the greatest. The greatest thing i like on the malibu is the digital toggle switches, keeps the boat looking sleek and uncluttered. They also page so if you add more ballest, you hook the ballest pump up to the digital switch and you don't have to add any toggle switches.

sniff, sniff, sniff..... I miss my S2000. But on the bright side, I now have my Tige.

Im sorry but i think that the new malibu dash is amazing looking, but the only thing i wonder is everthing going to hold up, i am sure there has been a lot of testing but it just seems like a lot of things to go wrong, it will be interesting to see how it all works in ten years.

I had an S2000 on the lot last summer and i was not a fan of the gauge set-up, digital is not as quick as analog in my opinion and with the glare it could get difficult to read well in the day with the top down and sun behind you, but at night it looked pretty slick.

I Like the look of the dash, just wonder about how it will hold up for anybody that uses their boat in the saltwater. I tend to go with the simpler route for that reason. It reminds me of a couple years ago when there was a super air nautique dead in the water and the thing would not restart, the keypad for the kelyess ignition had no power. I towed the guy to the nearest ramp so he could get a friend to get him so they could get the boat out. I noticed the bu used the same keyless ignition system.
