I've been checking these out since they came out, just wondering if any tigeowners have one or have used one. I am interested in buying one. I'm guessing they are legal in cali, since they have dealers here. thanks for any input.

they look like they might entertain for a run or 2 per day. But look quite limiting as to what you are "truly" capable of in the w2w airtime with all the cables pulling in opposite directions. deffinately not worth the grand. go buy a surplus WW II parachute from sportsmansguide and rig your own. lol. just my .02
i would rather spend that grand on a sky ski or air chairI'm full of tomfullery

Well if you want to trek to MN we typically have demo wakekite. I can't remeber what the charge is but if you buy a kite its fully refunded.
I've ridden them, they are pretty fun. You are limited with some of the tricks but getting that much air is still worth it. The learning curve is pretty short, you need to be in control when riding a wakeboard and if you can do that you can kite.
The only downside I really had with the kite is that it must be pretty calm to use it. You can not get air if its windy as you simply can't steer the kite at a certain point. We did use it with some light breezes without much of a problem but anything more than that renders the kite inoperable. From a safety standpoint driving the boat too fast has the same effect so your idiot buddies can't kill you like with the kite tubes.www.waterskis.com

I was thinking about buying one a while back and the feed back I got was that they were fun but just a little wind kills the fun and you tend to spend more time untangling lines and setting it up than you do riding. It sounded like they don't use it much because of the hassle.
That being said, I would love to try one for a day and find out for myself.

I actually know the guy who owns the company and have him out on our boat every once in awhile. We have only had it out once because like big wave said it is kind of a hassle because you also have to blow it up (so you need space) and get all the lines right but they arn't that bad. We had it out on a weekday at my lake which means no boats so it is a lot easier and your not worried about when it gets unhooked(when you fall) getting in the way of someone else. That being said it was well worth it all and was a lot of fun and want to get out and do it more often.
