Hate to ask this but what is FAE and do you have a pic?

FAE = Fresh Air Exhaust

basically, it takes the exhaust down into the water to (a) reduce noise, and (b) reduce carbon monoxide for those behind the boat (surfing) and in the boat

Do yourself a favor Champ and get in on it. There are still a few skeptical members scattered around this site but, anyone who has one (including me) will tell you it's the hottest thing since sunburn and cooler than the other side of the pillow. I kind of miss the noise but, the reduction in exhaust fumes greatly outweighs the sweet sound of a V8.

You will not regret having it. It is really nice for the extra bottom end torque you gain for whole shot and it also is very nice to be able to talk to people in the boat if you do not have the stereo cranking. The other thing that is really nice is the fact that it is like getting a new stereo on the boat when you are behind it boarding or surfing.

It just adds a little backpressure.

Like Nick said, I have had it on both of my boats through XP's group buys. My wife no longer worries about exhaust, the boat is uber' quiet, and it does not effect speed, wake, turning capabilities...........we have been very happy!!!

It doesn't. I think SPBFAN is trying to talk you into a new prop , which isn't a bad idea if you want more hole shot.

they normall run for a couple of weeks up to a month... Evil0nes discretion though. all I can say is DON'T hesitate. Best upgrade available to ANY wakeboat out there. You won't be disappointed.

What kind of time frame are you looking at to order the FAE?

We want to have this wrapped up by Tuesday Feb. 10th 2009 at the latest and get money sent so we can get the orders in. It takes them some time at FAE to build the units so we need to get going on this so we all have them on out boats by spring.
