This is not directed at anyone, but simply a question for everyone to ask of themselves. I read WAY WAY WAY too many threads/posts where dealers are bashed for selling boats at a profit, but yet we all work for a living. None of us donates our time to our employer, we expect that employer to pay us a fair market price for our time, skill, and knowledge. In turn, that employer charges customers for that expense, as well as other expenses.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

why buy new when you can get a used one for only 1/4 million.

Add in the RZ4 and you're still under budget.

I have worked for 2 different dealerships and it always amazed me how number of potential buyers felt that if the dealer made more than a couple grand on a boat sale it was highway robbery. The other part of that scenario that also amazed me was how they came up w/ the math to back up their statement.

Does it really matter what the mark up is? If you can afford it and it is what you want you are going to buy. Thats the free market if you think it is to much dont buy.
So that being said if a dealer only makes 10k on a sale and no money on service (which is B.S.) thay are not going to be around long.
So I dont care if my 50k boat only cost the dealer 10k, or 40k if that is the one I want and 50k is the going price I am going to buy it.
Caveat: Now that Obama is pres we will all have to give up out boats and give them to some poor bastard in Louisana that cant afford one.
Re-distribute the wealth brother

It is interesting how the government is talking about making it easier on everyone to do business and they need to make changes to make it easier for people start businesses and maintain them. If they plan to do that they need to change some tax laws, Get rid of all the supreme court judges in all districts. Make sure they hire new judges for those districts that understand once in a while there might be a small minnow that is going to be gone because maybe God had it in his plan for us as man to destroy that species and put in some protection for people with businesses so they do not have to deal with frivolous law suits.
Now having said that we all know that will not happen. So if you plan to do any business plan to spend some serious $$ up front and pray that people start to feel good about taking money out of the bank accounts. Because if they don't all the efforts you put into the business will just evaporate like water hitting the Phoenix Arizona concrete in the middle of a summer day. One more example.
Take doctors for instance. They have so many expenses it is crazy to have a medical practice. My friend moved form St. George area to CA. He had to pay a $22,000 insurance policy for closing his practice down and going to work in CA. for a major medical group. That way if he gets sued later a year or two after the insurance will kick in. That was state law he did not know that until he started to move and had to come out of the cash for it. Surprise!!!
I think it is those kind of things that will kill America. What do doctors do when they retire now? they have to pay 20,000+ for insurance for so many years after the close of there practice.
Ok enough from me. I am having a bad day today. I better stop.www.automarinecare.com CWB, ACME, FlyHigh, Merc Marine, PCM, Marine-power, WETSOUNDS, HSE Volume Controls, Kicker, Sony, Samson Sports, and many other marine parts or accessory's.
