This is kind of late but as a car dealer margins are the tightest they have ever been, i obviously dont sell million dollar cars but i would think that they would have to make at least 10% mark up, just think of what they pay in intrest every month having just a few million dollar boats sitting on the lot, and then you have to take in an expensive trade sometimes. Seeing what i can buy a 2006 20v for now i think i paid way too much, but i got it new and was willing to pay it then so it must have been about right. And on the service deptmartments i would think if they are anything like a car dealer, the service is helping them along, on those expensive boats i bet the hourly rate is way over 100/hr, and they pay their guys 15/hr, thats $680 on each guy at 100/hr and i am sure their rates are much more.
