Anyone want a FREE brand new Tige?

Saw this promotion posted on Wakeworld:

    http://virginiayachts.com/index.php?...113&Itemid=130

Kinda makes you feel small when three of Tige's most expensive boats are offered as a "buy one get one free" add-on for purchasing a Tiara yacht.

Makes you realize that even though we are pretty big fish in the pond just to be able to afford our Tige's, that there are other much bigger players out there.
      Be excellent to one another.

What is make you realize is how much dealers mark up the boats!!!

Sorry for the High Jack and I am by no means trying to start a fight but was just curious as to what everyone thinks is a fair margin or mark-up for a dealer to place on a boat?

<30% Probably less than 20% but only the dealers really know.

Your question is admirable. In my years of internet surfing this question comes up a lot and it always ends up being that the guys who know what the dealer cost is, do not say. Everyone else speculates that a boat dealer makes 30K, 20K, 10K on the sale of a boat and the dealer comes on and says it is not as much as others think.

The only consistent theme I do hear, even though I am not sure I believe it, is that the service department is not a money maker. I hear it over and over, so I would guess it is so. Even though the hourly rate seems pretty steep. Tools and non-reimbursable supplies and other overhead are quoted to be the big expenditures that eat up that hourly rate.

For those of us who have never owned a boat dealership, we are all just pure speculators.
                    Be excellent to one another.

So lemme get this straight...I spend 1.57 MILLION dollars on the biggest Tiara yacht offered, and I get a free RZ4 thrown in for good measure? Where do I sign?
