This reminds me... Before Castaic or Pyramid were built, we were launching at Lake Piru north of Los Angeles and here comes this car driving down the ramp. He stops at the waterline, engages a lever and propellers start spinning. This is the view I recall (sans the whiskey).

saw this at Nacimiento about two years ago. The car went around the marina and then back over to the ramp and drove up the ramp.

I flooded a couple of these cars about 5-6 years ago. I came around to my favorite ski hole on Grapevine lake pulling a wakeboarder. At first, Did not notice the parade of these cars (about 15 of them). They were parading in the 'ski line'. They surely did not appreciate my wake and the cars really DON'T do well when its not glass.

They were lucky there was a boat ramp within about 1/4 mile.

I kind of felt bad at the time but by now it is funny as chit... Really wish I had a camera on the boat at the time.
