I used to own a Kawasaki 1100 about 10 years ago. We ran it hard in the surf and used to beat it up launching over waves. My brother and I even took it offshore and did some fishing on it. Great times on that ski. Oh and never had problems with the Salt water too.

We have 2 2007 Yamaha VX Cruisers. They are pretty bullet proof, and get great gas economy. They get about 4gph, and will do 54mph with 2 riders easy. I chose them due to talking to some rental people, and others, that raved about the yamaha 4-stroke being super reliable. We love em.

Hey everybody its been a while... my family got a 96 seadoo xp new and we drove the heck out of that thing for about 6 years and never had an ounce of problems with it and i still see ones like it around, my personal opinion is for seadoo although i have not ridden a newer four stroke yet. I also had a kawasaki ultra 150 that had a bunch of work done to it, 78 mphs for about 3 hours til she blew, i took it back to the dealer and thats how i ended up with a tige, traded that and my old boat back in, i guess everything happens for a reason like mom always said.

Had 2 2004 Kawasaki 15F's ... absolutely no issues over 3 seasons. Upgraded to 2007 Ultra 250's and no issues there either. All are 4 stroke 3 seaters. The 15F's were light and easy to throw around but when the lake got rough you got bounced pretty good. The larger hulls of the Ultra's handle rough water better.

I went back and forth between Kawasaki and Yamaha, friends had experience and no issues with the Kawasaki's and they make their power with lower revving engines. I think the Yamaha's turn 10K RPM at max throttle vs 7.5K on the Kawasaki's.

I didnt mean that i would never buy another kawasaki because mine blew up, i am sure it would have been fine if it would not have had aftermarket parts put on, but was a little bummed that i only had it for 6 hours total ownership.

I have two Polaris waverunners. They are great. Very stable for the kids and wife and very fast. I love them. They just take up to much space.

What is wrong with the one that went down. What year is it and what make and size. You can get complete engines at a good price from www.SBTontheweb.com. I replaced one engine from there on my 1996 780SLX and it is a very nice engine.

I have gotten stuck out on the lake on a sea-doo. I forget what the problem was. that was the only problem with that one. I like ridding the sea doo xp around because they have a suspension seat which is great. I think they are all pretty good machine just find a good deal on one.
on the side, have you guys seen the new sea-doo IS255. It has a break and a full suspension but she cost around 16k.

Make sure it’s a four stroke, as most lake will soon be banding 2 stroke engines.
Tige, it's a way of life!

They will only be banning two stork engines from a certain year on.

Well, I joined the ranks yesterday. Two 1997 Kawasaki 1100 STX w/ 2005 trailer. $2,000. They run great. I'll clean them up a bit and should be good to go.
Like Paublo, They should be good entertainment for the the family @ Lake Powell.

Now you have the same problem I have. How do you get the whole family, boat, and Wave runners to the lake. You have to have two tow vehilces.

Find some friends with a truck and that way you'll get some help with the gas.

Yeah, good observation Dog. That's my daughter. As most 14 year old girls, she likes everything to be new. I'll have to get some pictures of her smiling while riding.

I think the only time we will take them to the lake will be for Lake Powell. There is never a shortage for drivers and cars going to Lake Powell. Other than that we will probably launch them at Dana Point an take them out in the ocean. I want to ride them out to Catalina Island and back. I think it is like 32 miles?
