I agree with both sides here. But yes, originally they were billed as "an affordable alternative", They are far from that for what most us wanted them for. And while they may have more brilliance as stated, it's impossible for a majority of us to tell as these were created in an environment that again most of us cannot duplicate.

I for one can't duplicate the luminescence of the gulf waters, but i'll sure bet ya they won't be anywhere near as bright in the lakes or the delta around here! Most of us will not be night fishing, diving or high speed running at night. Hence the "affordable" option as a requirement.

Great for a yacht and i'll bet they'll be hit with the coastal waters/yacht/lets impress crowd ... not so great for wakeboats though imo. Kinda killed the ambience requirement sadly without the red. Again just my

[Be sure positive connection is equipped with 2 amp circuit protection and that voltage is not higher than DC12.5V. Voltage with the boat engine on will be higher than 12.5v, the LEDs will be brighter, but the higher voltage will lower life expectancy of the LEDs. You can choose to add a simple voltage regulator if you are concerned.
