    Yep... but NO RED!!!!

Had they not been originally been proclaimed as affordable, then I might had considered them. But when the pricing finally came out and they went against everything they started out as being... well.... I decided I could do w/o. I'll more than likely just end up w/ the abyss's!

Imagapigdog.... I realize the red doesn't travel very far. I'm more going for the glowing effect around the boat... than seeing for a billion miles under the water.

Based on light output, the shadow-casters are the most affordable light out there, sorry you feel you were dupped, we never claimed they would be the price of the bullet lines light or the abyss, we claimed they would be bright and the best price for what you get, and they are. Enjoy the modest light output of the abyss lights.

Dollar for dollar, luman to luman, the Shadow Casters are a better performing, higher output light.

Don't get your panties in a wad there Mtn. I think you guys make a great product... and watched w/ anticipation as your build and testing progressed. I've seen your specs and realize what your offering. Actually if you'll read your original thread I was posting right along waiting in anticipation for them. Until of course the pricing came out. I realize you guys had alot of R&D and set-up costs, but I think you guys missed the market by breaking the $300 mark. If you'll read through the thread, this is what alot of us were screaming for, and going back and reading you never hinted it would come close to that. About the only thing you ever said as far as pricing was,

Unfortunately for me you, actually hit that exact mark you were looking to avoid. I have no doubt that you'll sell a bunch of lights to some of the larger boats. I wish your friends luck in their endeavor. For me however, the lighting is just not that important. I'd rather run three or 4 of Ken's lights for the price of 1 of these lights, even if I don't achieve the same level of brightness.

Of course the big thing for me is NO RED! Yes I realize why... but it's still what I want.

No worries, I'm not the one selling them nor do I have money tied up. You said you'd end up with abyss lights, they do not make a red light either though.

I didn't mean to say the abyss... Whichever lights Tige has as the factory option. I realize no red... but there's something to be said for not having to spend my time installing them.

But Bullet Lines has red. I was not out to be the brightest but just wanted some lighting to add to the nightime ambiance that did not break the bank.
                Let it be!!!

                      Sorry about that....I meant Yuan.

I need to know if the Luminescence is the same since their's a value (currency) differencation. Also, we know there is a salinity differencation between the Gulf of Mexico and the Pacific, how will the effect the product. Keeping in mind that the product was not tested under any ASTM standard, most of the claims about this product are opinion and leaves doubt to the accuracy of the performance claims. This brings us back to Ocean LED. They are ungodly expensive, yet there is signifigant value. The specifications are verified by certified laboratory standards including ASTM certified testing. Do I risk quality for the sake of price?

In my opinion, if I bought "one" OceanLed 2010 I know what I'm getting, all doubts are removed. What I really want is a SuperNova, but the price is totally insane for my small budget. On the flip side.......it accomplishes it's goal in quality, relaibility, and performance.

All the low end LED's are made over here in China, while all the high performance LED's are made over there in US.

Here's a good link that helps understand a few matters: http://www.oceanled.com/leds_true_and_false.php

Doesn't anyone have any pictures of these lights in use? I cant believe that Bullet Lines can't even provide a in the water picture.

The Shadow Caster LED's have quite a few in-water shots and questions are answered in almost real time
