I have a 2002 glasstron 175 with a new motor (from last years flood) that I want to trade in. They are willing to give $8k (loan amount) and have come down to $37k. I still think it is too much. But i am kinda stuck with my boat unless i trade with a dealer which other dealers i think may only give $5k. Also this dealer has been good to me. I figured I would probably save $5k overall purchase price because of my boat and staying with the dealer. Also buying from someone else you never know what you are going to get. I could get another boat under $30k and hold onto the Glasstron and try to sell it online. Oh well, I will hold off for a little bit...it is still cold in Indiana. Anyways wanted to respond back to everyone...thanks
man I feel you on this one, hate to get trounced in the price, but live to easily get rid of your burdon....

I gotta say, your gonna have trouble gettin 8k outta that glasstron, they are everywhere here fir 5k or less. They made a ton of those boats.

I gaotta belive that you can find a better deal than that though. Give it a bit, bet simeonenin here can hookk you up with someone wanting to sell their boat...

paid 40k for my 06 22v 340hp , ballast, with 67 hours on it and it is loaded to the gills.. no shower or heater though.. and i bout it for that a year ago.. you cant tell me that 221 is worth anything close to my 22v a year later.. look dude your gonna screw yourself big time if you buy that boat at that price.

listen to the guys on here.. ok so lets say you trade your boat in and buy for 37k.. say you wanna sell in two years.. you will be lucky to get 25 for it... thats a strech.. so your out 12k right off the bat..

or you could sell your boat for 5 or trade it off for 5 and get the same boat for say 28 at another dealer.. so you will sell it in a couple years for 23 to 25.. so you lose 3 k on your trade and another 5 on dep. on your boat and your out 8k.. make sence and my numbers may not be right on but you get the idea.

Let me see what I can do with my dealer locally that is going out of business. He has 2 2007 21i's and a 2007 22i that he is taking a huge savings on. If you like you can also call Tom at 916-636-0000 and talk with him. Not sure if you still own on your current boat.

        Heck, I know they have a 2007 22Ve for $39k I think....

But, that is still over priced in my opinion. Good luck.

The dealer may not be out to screw someone but just cannot take that much of a loss selling it for just mid to high 20s, when a dealer owes a ton more than he gets, he has to come up with the money to pay down the operating note on the boat, imo.

Buyers rarely offer to pay more then the asking price, so the asking price listed, typically has room to negotiate. Just make an offer, worst they can do is say no.

I think that is around the price it was when it sold New in 2006. Not a good deal.

X9 is tiny. You will not be happy. Especially at that price. Jesus.

Supra is a decent boat but, overpriced.

Malibu is overpriced and has a horrible, I mean horrible surf wake. Nice interior however.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

Not sure where you are in Indiana, but we bought our RZ last year from Schumaker Performance in Indy/Greenwood. We got a fair deal and they are great folks to work with. Its been a couple months since I last spoke to them, but they did have a 08 Z1 an 08 22Ve and I believe a 09 22i in stock.

Their website isn't always up to date, but it has their contact info: www.indytige.com

i looked high and low and it just seems all nice boats are overpriced. i am guessing people don't want to take a loss on their boat. but if you buy a toy and finance it for 15 years, what can you expect. I did make an offer on the 08 Supra 22SSV, very nice boat but he would not take less than $36k

Thats a fair price for an 08 Supra 22SSV. Your original post said 20SSV.

Find what options it has then go to nada guides to get the scoop.
