That sounds like a good price, new ones here are $6,600 here at our local dealer. The motor is just a vacum cleaner motor. You could get a small Honda generator to run your power.

knelems, I agree with you. It is a good price for a nice working unit. My small 1000w colman gen works on mine. (had to try it)

I am still evaluating, but has anyone worked with this company before? In discovery bay.

              http://www.calboatlift.com/

I talked to them on phone, $6000 includes delivery and installation of 6600lb lift.

That seems like a fair price delivered. Our local Hydro dealer had the 6600 lb at the boat show for $7,100. I think the Hydrohoist brand is superior over some of the other brands as far as operation, holding up on rough water. Also since a CC was on the lift it has been lifted for your underwater, prop gear.

I don't know those guys, but have seen their lifts around the marina. I have no information, good or bad regarding Cal. Boat Lifts. I have always used Scott at the HydroHoist dealer in Disco Bay for all my needs. http://www.upyourboat.com/

If you are still looking at lifts be careful. I have an RZ2 and have scratched up the graphics on the side of the boat by using a lift that has carpeted bunks on the side of the lift. It is difficult to come into my lift completely parallel at times if there is any wind and then the carpeted bunks scratch the vinyl graphics. If anyone has experience with how to avoid scratching the graphics let me know.

If you have a picture, it would certainly help so we can get a better picture.

So they do pull the boat all the way out after you drive up. I also like the way you can walk on them, and around the boat. Seems like it would be easy to drive up, and then wipe it down. They are not cheaper though. I just got a price of around $12.5k plus installation and shipping.

We put these in at the Boy Scout Camp at Lake Huntington for there motor boats, Sailboats, and swim docks. They assemble very easy. We take them apart and put them together each year before and after winter. They suck for holding boats like ours. Small motor boats and Jet ski's they are great. Other than that no way will you find me driving a $55K+ boat on to those things.

They are almost double the price of a lift also, which seems weird. But its not like it seems. The ones for a 24ft tige are also air lifted. So the back is underwater mostly, and you drive on, and then you pump it up and it holds the whole boat out of the water. The only thing that made me think of it, is it seemed safe to stand on, and maybe easier to wipe down boat, rather than all that steel.

So whats the deal with the Jet Dock?? Are they worth the money then or not? seems like as a dock they would last a lot longer then wood ones and as lifts. see I am moving to a private ski lake in the ft. Lauderdale area and have been looking at lifts myself. I really like the Jet dock for the same reasons as Rag does i.e. (being able to walk around and wipe down the boat, snap on the cover). I was thinking about just building a U shaped wood dock with some sort of lift in the middle. but with the Jet Dock it's a Lift and Dock all in one. Not sure yet but if the HOA doesn't allow permanent docks, then that doesn't leave me much choice does it. will any feed back from owners/ users and what not would be Great.

SPBfan- Are the docks that you use the same ones specifically designed for inboard or not?? like Rag said they have air assisted lift for those so. Just wanted to ask that question.
I'm going old school- I'm bring back the SKURFER!!!!!!

I got a quote from JetDock, of like 13k, plus cost to fly 2 guys out here. Where HydroHoist was $8k, and CalLift was $6k all but tax.
