    We have three hydrohoists in our boat house but we do have power, they can plug into a regular outlet. www.boatlift.com is their website. You might can pick up a used one or trade-in in your area, I have seen some listed on craigslist before.

      So I have been calling around and doing some more research, and these jetdocks, seem like they wouldn't keep the boat all the way out of the water, but I spoke to a rep and they are also air assisted. So they do pull the boat all the way out after you drive up. I also like the way you can walk on them, and around the boat. Seems like it would be easy to drive up, and then wipe it down. They are not cheaper though. I just got a price of around $12.5k plus installation and shipping.

        Hydrohoists are lifted by blowing air into tanks. I bet that the blower can be modified to use a 12v motor. Maybe use 12v from the boat to power the blower?

        You only use power for the lifting function. Setting the boat back in the water is done by opening a valve, letting the air put and the water in...
        It's not an optical illusion.
        It just looks like one.....

          Hey Rag;
          My good friend just moved his boat to a new location, thus is going to sell his Hydro Hoist. It's here in Disco Bay, but I bet he will sell it cheap. (He doesn't really need the money) he had a Nautique on it.
          Let me know...

            Y, I might be interested. You have a 24Ve, do you think his hoist would work?

              Which lake did you get a slip at? Or should I say two slips at?

                  Lake Oroville. There are slips available at Bidwell and Lime Saddle marina. There used to be a huge waiting list, but due to low levels and economy, there are openings.

                    Just out of curiousity, if they seriously have a huge waiting list like that what does a typical slip go for out in CA?
                    Around here there is a wait list at the most popular marinas and they go around 1250$ while the less popular (more outta the way) marinas go as low as $500.
                    Our water is sooo incredibly disgusting I would not even consider it an option if they paid ME $500 to leave my boat there.

                    We have one marina with all electric hoists and they run about $3k per year...but good luck getting one.

                    We do have a clean lake (Lake Geneva) but the most modest homes on it are WELL over a million bones and that carries over to the marinas and bouy fees. Last year was $1750 to tie to a bouy out in the water...crazy.
                    Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

                      Robert;
                      I just placed a call to him for more info (cost, capacity etc). I will let you know as soon as I hear back from him. He's ussually pretty quick.
                      Worst case is that you will have to add a center tube to the lift. Thats what I did for my 24V. PLENTY of lifting power. Fat Cat Sales sold me the tank, and installed it for me for $500.00.
                      I know that the lift is a center mount, which is what you really want for the 24ve.
                      I'm supposed to help him pull the hoist out of the water, onto his flatbed trailer next week. I'll keep you informed.

                        At bidwell marina, big marina, not as nice, or nice of an area, covered slips are $2k yr. Bidwell is 35 mins from my home. At Lime Saddle Marina, slips are $4k yr, but are brand new and Lime Saddle is only 9 miles from my house, and is a beautiful area. The water is very clean, in both places.

                          Here are the current prices for Discovery Bay. I know it says 2007, but they are still the same. There are open spaces both in the water, and in dry stack areas.

                            Thank you.

                            They are completely renovating Lime Saddle marina.
