Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. THAT'S relativity. Albert Einstein

          Wow! Cool pics. LP!

They are serious about keeping that cut-off open.

I think I heard that they are going to try to get to 10 feet but the runoff has alot to do with it. They have to be finished once the lake starts to rise again (about two weeks) so right now they are in a race against time to finish as much as they can and be done so that when it starts to rise they don't get flooded out. They have been digging out as much as they can, trying to go as low as the lake level itself.

Too bad they can't get any real heavy equipment out there. A 990H or a 345D would make quick work out there.

My brother was over at Wahweap last weekend and the weekend before (working on his houseboat) and he said that they were working on the Castle Rock Cut digging it down to help make it a permanent thing... at least with the water level close to where it's at now... I have a Powell trip planned on Memorial Day week and and hoping that they have that thing cut down so that we can go through by then...

You'll have no problem by then.

With what they are doing right now, it will probably be open in April sometime, wouldn't you think?

                              Rule of 100 in effect

                              Air temp 53.1 + water temp 49 > 100.

                              Therefore we're good to go.
Now if I can just make it through tax season (two more weeks).

One of the biggest reasons I got out of public accounting was because it was too hard for me to miss Spring.
