I think SoCal need to stop beign the big bully taking everyones water and start learning how to desalinize. Its already proven it can be done.
We like being bullies. Mulholland was a genius. We did some work on the pumping stations at havasu and parker and got a private tour of the facilities. Pretty amazing that this stuff was thought out in the 30's. The pumps at each pumping station put out 2000 gallons a minute and they have only been rebuilt once since they were installed. They just dont build things like they used too
    Let it be!!!

XPJIM I agree with you and I also Agree with Turbo. We need to start to desalinize the water right off our coast. I am sure that would also create some jobs this state badly needs. They could also use the salt in the northern Territories to deice roads once the seperated it from the water.

Then the lakes in NorCal can stay higher and we can have a better boating season since the water we get is sold to the Southern Central Valley for agriculture.

I hate bringing this up but I am sure a portion of the $700B bailout to banks could have put in the infrastructure necessary to complete this, along with creating thousands of jobs.

I just hate event thinking about that bailout.

Thanks for bringing that up. That is just a bad subject we all feel the same way I am sure or close to all of us.

Back to Lake Powell conversation. It is going to be a very nice summer at the lake this year.

I think it just makes some water more salty and the rest less.....

Sorry my bad, I didn't mean post out of it, I meant a poster to hang on your wall.

That's a very wide (and very nice) houseboat, can you share some of the details?

Its a 2008, 75 x 18, with 15 owners. There are quite a few owners on this boat that have 20+ years of Powell experience, so its a very knowledgeable group.

I was originally looking at an 08 that was 16 ft wide. If was very nice but I knew when I was looking at it someone else had the right of a first offer on the week I wanted. While up at Anelope Point we looked at Red Rocks(the 18 foot wide one) for giggles. OMG! 2 feet makes a huge difference. I also looked at a 20 footer, that had a reverse floor plan, it was insanely awesome.

Ended up the other person purchased the week on wanted on the 16 footer and I was bummed. Sunrise Peak made me an offer for the Red Rocks, which was a little out of my price range, but sounded like a great deal, so I took it.

That pic was taken in Navajo Canyone, Right?

                              Looks like a sweet boat.
                              Be excellent to one another.

That is a BIG, roomy boat! Congratulations!

What are the dates you got?
Is it out of Wahweap or Antelope?
