Some serious Fall Tigeowners reunion at Lake Mead Talk

It is time again to start thinking about the Tigeowner.com reunion at Lake Mead in the fall. It has been a great event but I have some questions that need to be answered.

1. Should we have one at all? JWalk of Wasatch Marine has a big reunion planned for the first week of August at Lake Powell. That might be sufficient for some of us to get the reunion bug out of us. I figure that the Lake Mead reunion will be 7-8 weeks later so I could attend both for sure. But I don't want energy to be placed into something that no one wants to go to. If I could only attend one, I would probably go to Lake Powell, and I wouldn't blame others for doing the same. (JWalk was still kind enough to say I could come (and see what I am missing as far as Tiges go)).

2. I am still happy to head up the reunion, even if I do not own a Tige. If someone else wants to be the head for things, then that would be great.

3. What exact date? Last year we had a snafu where we changed dates 5 different times. I would just as soon set a date and say this is the date and do your best to make it, come hell or high water. The end of September has perfect weather almost all the time. This year was perfect.

4. Corporate support really made it a better event. That support generally comes through a dealer. The housing collapse has hit Vegas especially hard. If Tige sends some support for the event at Lake Powell, will they help us at Lake mead 8 weeks later? I suppose it might depend on boat sales this summer

Here are my thoughts: If you plan it I will try my damnedest to come.....the earlier the date is set, the better for me due to the fact that I travel by air.

I would like to see the Mead event moved back to an early Oct date as it was for 07. IF the Powell event gets launched, that would leave plenty of time between events for those overlapping TO's to hopefully work it out and attend both.

If I could only do one, I'd say I may choose Mead, tough choice though I would even consider attending an unofficial event if it came down to it.

An event can still be a great event, regardless of the economy and event/promotional budget. I would hope TO's would attend for the fellowship of other TO's, to meet and get to know their dealer and staff, and to show support for their dealer. IMO, it's about building that relationship. That being said, the door prizes are great, but shouldn't be ones motivation to attend. I'm already thinking of ways to make our Southeast/NC event great while possibly having a smaller budget to work with.

If I could only make one it would be Lake Mead. I would also prefer a 1st or second week of October. Really all depends on what my new employer(if I get one) says. No more are the days I can take off whenever I want. Its the people and boats i come to see. Prizes are nice but not my reason for being there

I would try to make both. The Mead date is more subject to scheduling conflicts than Powell would be, but if the boat shop is involved I would do my best to support it.

This year will be the 4th annual, BTW. The first was in November, and was a cold water reunion for sure for those brave 10 boats that came.
