Axis Wake

I got a chance to check out the Axis this weekend. I have to admit I was very impressed. IMO, the quality was well above the V-Rides I had looked at. The boat on display was not totally loaded, but it had all the essentials plus some extras and priced out @ $46k with dual axle trailer. It had a black white color scheme with an all black tower that actually made it look pretty good. The tower seemed fairly stout and wasn't COMPLETELY ugly like I had anticipated. The seats did seem to be low to the ground, but that is about the only complaint I could find aside from the fact that I didn't like how they tucked the material around the back side of the hatch and the driver seat didn't swivel. Three VERY minor complaints.

I'm pretty darn picky so impressing me isn't all together easy. While it was certainly not on par with the VLX/VTX, for the intended purpose I think it's going to be a market killer. Let me go on record now and say you will be seeing a lot more of the Axis.....once they fix the tower aesthetics.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the V-Ride dropped from the Malibu line in the next few years.

Seems logical to create some product differentiation.

I am interest to see this in person also. I know I won't like the tower, the windshield and the transom. I want to see the wake! I also would like to see what people actually get these for since no one should pay MSRP.

I have say I liked it and was over all very impressed. The windshield is kind of cool it's the exact same as the 09 bu just without the side part.

Looks good, I kinda like the windsheild to be honest. Very innovative. HOWEVER, I would like to know how much ballast was required to get that wake...

I sat in the boat at the LA boat show and it feels like the side part if the windshield is there with the way the tower is designed. The 09 windshield on the Malibu is exactly the same just with the side part. They no longer have the rounded class in the corners of the windshield.

Look at the Windshield. They call it their "Barefoot Training System" BTS.

Mastercraft has now hired the guy that designed the windshield for Axis so that makes it a MC inovation and Axis copied them.

Someone SOOOOO needs to get this rolling on WW cause we all no MC invents everything and never "barrows" a design from any one else
