I'm not really a fan. To me, it looks like an amalgamation of pieces and parts. I think, in the pics at least, the hull is fugly. In person this all may be totally different. I would also give them points for using high quality materials if they do. The quality equates more into my decision than aesthetics do (to a point). I'm very curious to see a price.
Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

Tracking fins are just a cover up for a defective hull..

I know that the MC X-35 could probably use one or two. WHen the boat is on plane at 30 + MPH, there is a sort of annoying slippery side to side feeling, like you are skating across the water. Time will tell if the X45 does it too. It goes away if you put the trim tab down some and the keel then touches the water. I bet it would not feel that way if it had fins.

Yeah, just like TAPS, huh? How quickly they turn on you...is that part of the MC experience, where you get that upturned nose?

I thought you guys would get a kick out of it.

I wish my 45 would have copied tige's positioning of the taps plate button to the throttle, because I will have to take my right hand off the throttle to adjust the plate.

That just highlights the fact that no boat is perfect and it's the innovation of the various manufacturers that keeps making them better. I'm sure you'll get used to it

They've surpassed Fugly. Definitely nipping on the heels of Super-Fugly.
86 the tower and redesign the bow to less resemble a swamp-boat and they may get back some aesthetic points.

Actually the X-star does... it has 3! Also in their X-line, the X-14 and smaller boats have them as well. Unless their website is wrong

I personally think they made there mistake with the tower. That tower is just flat out ugly and I do not see how over time that thing will hold up and be a sturdy tower.

I just do not like a pickle fork... not sure why as I used to own one.

Other than a few styling cues, I am not sure what makes this boat so different.
